# Slice for Slice > A side-by-side comparison for the festive cakes and sweet breads on your own shortlist - panettone, stollen, pandoro, fruitcake and the like. Enter 2 to 5 cakes with price, weight, slices and a short note on what each has in it, plus a budget per cake, the slices you need and up to 3 wishes. The page works out the price per slice and per 100 g, which cakes fit, and gives a free verdict by a fixed rule, drawn as a bakery window. One metered run fills in a comparison table from your notes, marks each wish and explains the pick. Price per slice and per 100 g are rounded to the cent. A cake fits when it is within the budget per cake and has at least the slices needed. Checked in order, first match wins: 1. Nothing fits - no cake fits. The closest is the cake with the fewest misses, then the cheapest per slice. 2. Close call - 2 or more cakes fit and the 2nd cheapest per slice costs at most 10% more per slice than the cheapest. 3. Clear pick - otherwise. Fitting cakes are ranked by price per slice, then the heavier cake, then the one higher on the list. ## The metered run (task "compare") Input strings: task, occasion, wishes, shelf (the page's lines), notes. Reply: one JSON object with verdict and pick (copied from the page), headline, rows (1 per cake in shelf order: option, taste, wishes as meets / misses / unknown, best_for, watch_out), pick_note and closing. The page re-checks the verdict, the pick, the rows, the wish marks, every number and the word limits. ## Sources - Built on the SkillSafe skill @kostja94/comparison-table-generator: https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@kostja94/comparison-table-generator For fun and shopping, not professional advice.
